Water purification company in Inland Empire, CA

The Inland Empire spans the urbanized areas of Riverside County and San Bernardino County east of Los Angeles, and its water ranks among the hardest in California. Riverside municipal water measures around 12 GPG with total dissolved solids near 588 ppm, sourced from groundwater aquifers that have filtered through limestone and sandstone formations in the San Bernardino Mountains. San Bernardino and surrounding cities draw from the Chino Basin and other local aquifers, where calcium and magnesium concentrations are consistently high. The region's mix of older single-family homes in San Bernardino and Riverside, newer master-planned communities in Rancho Cucamonga and Corona, and large-lot properties in Redlands and Yucaipa creates a wide range of installation conditions for water treatment systems.

Water Purification Company

Serving the Inland Empire's Diverse Mix of Homes and Commercial Properties

Riverside's water supply carries around 12 GPG in hardness and total dissolved solids near 588 ppm — mineral concentrations that originate in the limestone and sandstone formations of the San Bernardino Mountains. As groundwater filters through those formations over decades, it picks up calcium and magnesium that eventually reach municipal wells. Homes in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Fontana all draw from aquifers with this geological profile, which is why scale buildup on fixtures and appliances is a consistent complaint across the region.

The Inland Empire's property mix creates different installation conditions from one city to the next. Older homes in San Bernardino and Riverside may have aging plumbing where scale has already narrowed pipe interiors, making whole-house filtration a priority alongside softening. Newer communities in Rancho Cucamonga and Corona have modern plumbing layouts but still receive the same hard water, and their tankless water heaters are particularly vulnerable to scale damage without a softener at the point of entry.

The Inland Empire's rapid growth in warehousing, logistics, and light manufacturing has increased demand for commercial water treatment systems. Hard water at 12 GPG or higher damages boilers, cooling towers, and process equipment in commercial facilities the same way it damages residential water heaters — just at a larger scale and with higher replacement costs. Commercial water treatment systems sized for the actual flow rates and hardness levels of Inland Empire facilities protect equipment and reduce maintenance overhead.

Every service, available in Inland Empire, CA

Water Softeners are the most common starting point for Inland Empire homeowners because Riverside's 12 GPG and San Bernardino's similarly hard supply cause visible scale on fixtures and measurable efficiency loss in water heaters across the region. Whole-House Filtration addresses the chloramine disinfection and elevated TDS that appear in Inland Empire municipal reports, treating every tap rather than just the kitchen sink. Commercial Water Treatment Systems serve the region's growing warehouse, logistics, and light manufacturing base, where hard water at Inland Empire levels damages boilers, cooling towers, and process equipment without proper treatment.

Affordable, Efficient, No Leaks!! They gave an estimate that was much less than another company. I had them install a water heater and a water softening system I purchased at Home Depot. Everything was installed in half a day and they upgraded existing parts and fittings when necessary. The workmanship is great and I am extremely satisfied!!!

I had a water softener and RO drinking water installed in March of 2024. Brandon was communicative, fair, and did a great job. I meant to write a review back then, but it slipped my mind. I can’t speak to their customer service after install, because I haven’t had any issues, and my RO filters haven’t slowed down/needed changing yet. I’ll update my review when that time comes! I wish I’d made these purchases 10 years earlier instead of renting a water softener. The company I rented from before (Matilija) kept raising the monthly fee for their depreciating equipment, never came to test the equipment/water to make sure it was working, and were completely unresponsive when I called and emailed. Working with Brandon was a breath of fresh air!

We have been putting off a drinking water system on our new home for the last year. We wish we would've had done this a lot earlier. I reached out to pure water filtration and Brandon got back to me immediately. He gave me a quote over the phone, we scheduled the install three days later and he was very communicative. He was on time, called us when he was on his way and installed the system extremely quickly. This company is fast and effective and they are very professional and courteous. Very glad I called this company, they are awesome. We are in communication with them for a full home filtration system. Thank you, Brandon for your great work and amazing customer service.

Absolutely beautiful job! Brandon was on time, he was very informative on what he was doing, respectful of the property and did his best to be quiet (our baby was napping at the time- she didn't wake up at all during the install!) We absolutely recommend Pure Water Filtration. Invest in treating your home water; your plumbing and your health will thank you.

Water Purification Company FAQ for Inland Empire, CA

Common questions from Inland Empire, CA customers about our services, process, and coverage.

Riverside's municipal water measures around 12 GPG with TDS near 588 ppm, which is comparable to the harder zones in Los Angeles County. San Bernardino and surrounding cities draw from aquifers with similar mineral profiles. The Inland Empire's water is consistently hard across most of the region, without the neighborhood-to-neighborhood variation that LA County experiences from blending multiple source types.

Yes. Newer plumbing does not change the hardness of the water flowing through it. Rancho Cucamonga and Corona receive the same hard water from Inland Empire aquifers as older cities in the region. Tankless water heaters installed in newer homes are particularly vulnerable to scale damage at 12 GPG or higher, and a water softener at the point of entry protects both the heater and the home's other water-using appliances.

Commercial facilities in the Inland Empire — including warehouses, light manufacturing plants, and food service operations — face the same hard water that residential customers deal with, but at higher flow rates and with more expensive equipment at risk. Boilers, cooling towers, and process equipment scale up quickly at 12 GPG or higher without treatment. Commercial water treatment systems are sized for the facility's actual flow rate and hardness level, not a residential configuration.

Redlands and Yucaipa sit at higher elevations and draw from different portions of the regional aquifer system than Riverside. Hardness levels in those communities can vary from Riverside's readings depending on the local well depth and aquifer geology. Large-lot properties in Redlands and Yucaipa sometimes rely on private wells, which can show higher iron and mineral concentrations than the municipal supply in the same area.
